About Me

I'm Bharat Dhakal, a second-year M.S. candidate in Structural Engineering at Purdue University, specializing in resilient bridge designs and advanced structural analysis. Building on my distinction as a top-ranked graduate from Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering, I now focus on performance-based design methodologies under extreme loading conditions, combining computational modeling with practical infrastructure solutions.

My technical expertise spans both traditional and emerging engineering paradigms: • Structural systems resilience (AASHTO LRFD, ASCE 7, ACI 318)
• Advanced FEA applications (SAP2000, OpenBridge, ETABS)
• Full project lifecycle management from conceptual design to construction documentation

Currently developing novel assessment frameworks for steel-truss bridge retrofitting as part of Purdue's infrastructure resilience research initiative, I bridge academic theory with industry practice through recent professional experiences at WSP USA. My work emphasizes sustainable infrastructure solutions that balance structural performance with economic viability, particularly in seismic-vulnerable regions.
